Appointing SMQ as your broker is designed to take away the headache of dealing direct with the insurer, with all renewals, administration queries, and changes, being managed by us. We liaise in most instances electronically with your provider, ensuring all issues and records are dealt with as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
With regard to the renewal process, we carry out a full market review each year, providing a clear picture of the competitiveness or otherwise of your current contract in comparison with the other product providers. In addition we provide information on the new products entering the market, ensuring you always have the knowledge to choose the product which supplies your own unique demand and needs.
Making claims is the reason we all take out an insurance product, and all medical insurers operate some form of automated claims handling service. SMQ does not normally need to take a roll in this process as it is usually extremely efficient, unfortunately with all insurance products, claims disputes can arise between client and provider, and in such instances we will act on your behalf in an attempt to achieve a satisfactory resolution.
There is no charge for using our service, with the insurance providers remunerating us by way of commission. It might be thought that this could adversely affect the premium you pay, however the reverse is the case due to the relationship SMQ has with the insurance providers, with discounts often being obtained from standard renewal terms.
